Mayo/Ailsa Lake Kimberley B.C
Beautiful hike! Came a little early so an avalanche was covering the lake.
Popular tourist destination but great for a quick scenic walk and one of Canada's largest waterfalls 👌
Bear Creek Falls
This is a low effort and high reward walk. With only a 20 minute walk off of Highway 1 between Golden B.C and Revelstoke B.C its a great way to stretch the legs out while our on your travels.
Sutherland Falls, Revelstoke BC
Sutherland Falls is a family friendly waterfall to access along Highway 23 between Revelstoke and the Shelter Bay . The falls drop about 45 feet at the bottom and the intense greens in the backdrop make it very photo friendly. With on;y a 20 minute detour off Highway 1 outside revelstoke it makes...
Wapta Falls, B.C
With a quick 40 minute walk off HIghway 1 in Yoho National park near Field B.C its worth it for a quick family stop. The trail is flat and easy for all ages.
With this being so close to the capital city of Iceland it is a quick stop for the tour busses which can make it quite busy, but with that being said it is a true spectacle. The falls are so powerful that when walking through the bottom parking lot (which is a fair ways away from the falls) you...
Hraunfossar Falls, Iceland
Compared to most of the other falls in and around the Reykjavik area this one had the least amount of tourists and was our top stop for experiencing raw beauty. The falls are a total of 900m long and the water is a very appealing bright blue.
Grjotagja hot springs cave
A cool place to visit when passing through northern Iceland! Unfortunately since the latest eruption the temperature is above what a human can handle for bathing in the hot springs but a hot spring in a cave is pretty cool... and it’s also where John Snow lost his virginity to the wildling in...
Although this is a highly populated tourist stop its a Must See! With a series of 2 waterfalls with the largest being over 12m high and 30m wide and a beautiful glacier blue it was well worth walking around the groups of people to get the best angles. I would stop here again in a heartbeat if I...
Schooner Cove - Vancouver Island
A short distance outside Tofino is the amazing place called Schooner Cove. Just past Long beach you can find the entrance to the trailhead which will take you on a 1km boardwalk trek to the beautiful beach. This is a must see if you are in the area!!
Hidden falls - Sombrio Beach
Sombrio Beach is the beginning of the Juan de Fuca trail. From Sooke, head west on Hwy 14 for 55.8 kms towards Port Renfrew. There are roadsigns on the side of the road letting you know Sombrio Beach is approaching. The road in is only about 1 km of unmaintained, rutted road. We easily accessed...
This is such a beautiful lake to hike to, its a steep scramble but only for just over 1 km so its easily doable. From the same trail head you can go to either Hariet Lake or Wilamena Lake (both equally as beautiful and quiet). The road starting from Branch H is quite rough and grown in so if you...
Elk lakes British Columbia
Nice well maintained pathway, great for taking a family day trip with some beautiful scenery.
